Who to see? Why come?
When pain is recurring, unhealthy patterns emerge (anger, tears, withdrawal, anxiety, poor sleep, poor eating, panic attacks, etc...) and can leave you feeling exhausted, helpless and hopeless. It is not possible for any individual to feel this way and be mentally, emotionally, psychologically stable to also treat themselves. That is the job of an experienced therapist. Just as it is not possible for someone to break their leg, be in pain and then to fix it themselves. You would naturally go to a doctor. Similarly, being in psychological pain, you would go to a psychotherapist. It is really that simple and smart! So, any individual, couple or a teen that is looking to achieve better or healthier relationship outcome and wants a professional guidance in a safe environment.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, legally it is required to maintain confidentiality for clients and ethically it is the back bone of therapy for you to feel safe to address your goal of being in therapy. There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality and that will be covered in your initial session.
How often and long are sessions?
Individual sessions usually last 50 minutes.
Couples, Parents, and Family sessions are generally 75 - 100 minutes long.
Sessions are once a week. For clients recently discharged from hospital psychiatry programs, sessions are generally twice per week. We discourage anything less than once a week. It is ineffective for the psychological transformation and not therapeutically effective.

How many therapy sessions do I need?
Therapy can take a few short months or a few meaningful years. It is entirely up to the pattern's chronicity, the depth of the pain bringing you to therapy, and the quality of life you want to achieve at the closure of therapy.
Do you prescribe medications?
No, but we have a psychiatrist referral list that have similar client focused styles and that we have worked closely with in the last decade that we can provide you with. In some cases, therapy alone is the preferred and organic method to get you to what matters to you.
