Heena Parikh, LMFT, Therapist
Heena is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and teens to work through their issues to lead a happier and more productive lives. Heena holds a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. Her experience as a therapist comprises from being a Co-Leader of ACA Groups, hospice grief counselor, crisis interventionist, outpatient psychiatry therapist (6 years), intensive training in CBT and DBT, and certification in EMDR from EMDIRA Institute. Heena integrates her extensive experiences to focus on treatment specifically for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. With over a decade of experience in the Biotech field, Heena's enthusiasm for science shines through as she continues to attend seminars presenting new research by Dr. Dan Siegel on neuroscience and neuropsychology on how our mind can help change our brain. She embeds this with various therapy approaches, such as psychodynamic/attachment and DBT modalities to support most direct, personable and result oriented therapy. In her free time, Heena enjoys swimming, traveling, playing games, and going for nature walks and day trips in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
