Der-Yi Li, LPCC, LMHC, Therapist (licensed in California and Massachusetts)
Der-yi attended Boston College for her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. After graduating with her Master’s, she worked in community health settings supporting multicultural children, teens, and adults struggling with depression, trauma, anxiety, autism, and substance abuse. Der-yi believes in creating an empathic space where her clients feel safe to talk about their mental health. She also believes in empowering her clients to create change in their mental health journey by utilizing evidence based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Der-yi is a second generation Taiwanese-American and has experience with people from multicultural diversity. She has a special interest in working with the Asian American community struggling with both their Asian and American identities. She identifies as a cis-gender female and uses the pronouns she/her/hers and is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
In her free time, Der-yi enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and watching K-dramas. Der-yi speaks Mandarin conversationally. She is looking forward to collaborate with you on your mental health journey.
